This month’s meeting is our annual scholarship award night as well as Past
Chairman’s night. Several years ago, LVFA contributed to FEF and the proceeds
from this contribution (we added more last year) allow us to award a scholarship
to a student chosen by an FEF-participating school (Penn State is our local
college in this regard). This year’s recipient did an internship at Victaulic
and speaks English and Polish (might come in handy at Victaulic).
We have “changed the guard” a little in our committee assignments, and Rocco
Bara has completed his term as Chairman. Just in time for a free dinner!
Our final membership insert is in this flyer. Fill it out and mail it to Trevor
to avoid future follow-up calls. He is relentless.
We will contact all flyer advertisers very shortly (if you have not already been contacted or renewed) for 2012 calendar year ads. Remember, Company Memberships and flyer ads are what enable us to give out a scholarship, put on our program (we lose money every regular meeting—by design) and keep our organization going. Consider that our meals are cheap (and excellent!), location more local, program is educational, and “dues” are a tiny fraction of what National organizations ask for. We aim to keep it that way, as we have for over 60 years.
